My Dad and Step-mom came up for a visit and brought me beautiful roses. I was thankful for the cards I got from everyone and these flowers lifted my spirits :)

My brother and I started referring to my right hand as "the claw"... it's stuck, although, many of my friends are now calling me lefty. I was able to use a small tripod I have to take this picture. I've been documenting the scar, swelling, bruising and progress with my camera. I'll put together a final scrapbook someday!

After a night in the hospital they removed the cast they had put on after surgery and gave me a brace. I needed to be able to changed my dressing every few days so that's why I got a brace. (taken with a cellphone by my mom).

This is the cast I got after surgery. I was on a lot of morphine in this picture. Waking up from surgery I could feel everything in my arm. It was burning and hot and painful. They put me on morphine and I calmed down. (taken with a cellphone by my roommate)
